Biomass Power Plant Ridham Limited
Also see CountryStyle project, see link below
June 2010: Plans for a large-scale biomass heat and power facility - capable of producing 25MW of power from thousands of tonnes of waste wood - have been formally submitted to Kent county council. The plant will use 160,000 tonnes-a-year of waste wood, old pallets, furniture, packing to generate 25MW of power and 35MW of low grade steam heat, with electricity produced being transported to the national grid.

MVV Environment Ridham is creating around 29 jobs directly on location and further jobs at suppliers in the region. Construction work at the plant began in April 2013, and operations are due to begin in spring 2015.
