(Dec 2013) Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order for 15 V112-3.3 MW offshore turbines for the extension of the Kentish Flats wind farm off the coast of the UK.

As at 2008 the largest wind farm in the UK (now Lynn & Inner Dowsing). Visible from most of the North Kent Coast all the way inland to the top of the North Downs.
It is expected to produce 285MW of electricity every year, enough to power 100,000 homes.

An additional 15 Wind Turbines are to be added

The KENTISH FLATS Offshore Wind Farm is operated by Vattenfall. It is situated approximately 8.5 km from shore in the Southern North Sea, in the Thames Estuary.

THE KENTISH FLATS WIND FARM - 30 VESTAS V90 3MW TURBINES.
The KENTISH FLATS wind farm in the Thames estuary started operating in 2006. It is sited about 8 kilometres off the north Kent coast and uses thirty Vestas V90 3 megawatt offshore wind turbines.
