The Directors of Haymaker Ltd, the developers, are Giles Braxton and Harry Shepherd-Cross. It was Harry who introduced the project with a pres-entation giving the main facts; 40,000 solar panels producing 11 MegaWatts on 49 acres of land, surrounded by an eight-foot fence and dotted with trans-formers and substations up to twelve feet high.

Ashford Borough Council’s planning committee had turned down Haymaker Energy’s first application for land at OAKLANDS Farm in Hothfield in December, but granted planning permission for an amended scheme on Wednesday.
