(iii) Reduction in Rebate from Waste to Energy Plant (£35,000). Whilst the City’s Waste stream going into the Waste to Energy Plant has not reduced, the total inputs into the plant in 2003/04 have fallen. This was due to recycling schemes being introduced in neighbouring authorities. As a consequence the rebate on the total tonnage over and above the 180,000 tonnage rebate threshold is now only expected to be around £40,000 instead of £75,000.
(iv) Five Year Review of contract at Waste to Energy Plant (£25,000). This was previously reported at £300,000, it is now expected to be £325,000, an increase of £25,000. Negotiations are currently being undertaken with the contractor in order to try and reduce the impact in this financial year.
