Novera received planning approval to build a wind farm on the former RAF Airfield near Lissett, south of Bridlington in February 2007 followed by full planning consent in July. When fully operational, Lissett is expected to produce approximately 74.5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year. Construction commenced in December 2007 Power production started in February 2009.
