Plans have been submitted to Aberdeenshire Council to increase the capacity of the existing wind farm with 7 new turbines which would generate up to 14MW more electricity.
The 20-turbine wind farm, 7.5km east of Huntly, was developed by Renewable Energy Systems and generated its first power in May 2005 with full operation following in July. It has an anticipated life of 20 years.
