NB Haverigg III is also referred to as Heverigg 3 and 4.
Haverigg III is a replacement of the turbines installed under Haverigg I
Acting for owners Windcluster Ltd, Wind Prospect secured planning permission in August 2002 to replace five 10 year old Vestas V27-225kW turbines with four Vestas V52-850 kW machines. This will substantially increase the power generated from this well-accepted site near Millom in south Cumbria.
Haverigg II is an extension to one of the first co-operatively owned wind power developments in the UK. The site is located on a disused airfield on low lying coastal land near Millom in Cumbria.
Haverigg I The first phase (now known as Haverigg I) was developed by Windcluster Ltd., consisting of five 225kW V27 wind turbines and commissioned in 1992.
