Over a 12 month period Rural Energy installed nearly 4MW
of renewable heating into 26 poultry sheds on five sites in
North Yorkshire.

Following a successfull installation at Site 1, Rural Energy was approached
to supply and install biomass boilers at a further four locations, bringing the
total number of sheds being heated through renewable technology to 26.

Ashford Borough Council’s planning committee had turned down Haymaker Energy’s first application for land at OAKLANDs Farm in Hothfield in December, but granted planning permission for an amended scheme on Wednesday.

Construction of a Solar Park, to include the installation of solar panels to generate up to 11,4MW of electricity with transformer housings, security fencing and cameras, land-scaping and other associated works, and cable route/trench.
