 Comment

Wilton Power Station is one of the largest and most efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants in the United Kingdom.
This 270 MW plant is also linked to an associated major water treatment facility. (35MW considered green)
The Sembcorp Biomass Power Station on Teesside, which uses wood as fuel, offers farmers and landowners in Yorkshire and the north east of England the opportunity to diversify into the production of the energy crop short rotation willow coppice (SRC).
Its designers say it will emit around 200,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year LESS than a conventional power station - the equivalent in greenhouse gas reduction terms of taking 67,000 cars off Britains roads.
