Project INTEGRA
INTEGRA is a project devised to handle all of Hampshires household rubbish over the next 20 years or so, and involves all 14 Councils in Hampshire, along with Hampshire Waste Services (the private sector contractor). The project is aimed at reducing the level of waste which needs to be landfilled by:-
-Reducing rubbish in the first place
-Recycling and Composting 30% by 2006 and 40% in the long term
-Recovering resources from remainder (e.g. by using energy recovery incinerators)
