Landfill was first opened in June 1988 by merseyside waste disposal , Then ran for the waste diosal authority by meseyside waste ltd until August 2001 ,after shutting it took approx 10 years to cap off the landfill and restore back to its prevent state park land , the generators were run by a company called CPL. coal products ltd from Yorkshire on behalf of the waste disposal company Mersey waste Rainford Road, Billinge, St Helens, Merseyside, WN5 7PF
