Wind Power To Bypass Nuclear Power In UK By 2012 The 4 gigawatt mark was realised with the final commissioning of three wind farms - a 38MW wind farm at Long Park, a 30MW facility at Dun Law and the first phase of Dong Energy's 173MW GUNFLEET SANDS offshore wind farm.
Wind turbines tested at GUNFLEET SANDS off Essex coast The six megawatt (MW) turbines can generate almost twice as much electricity as the existing ones and have been built at GUNFLEET SANDS near Clacton.
Dong sells half of GUNFLEET SANDS Dong Energy has sold 49.9 per cent of the 172MW GUNFLEET SANDS offshore wind farm to Japan's Marubeni Corporation for £200 million. Dong said back in March that it expected to sell up to half of GUNFLEET SANDS and Burbo Bank "soon".
Japanese company invests in UK wind farm The agreement was concluded with Dong Energy, the Danish company specialising in renewable energy, on Thursday. Marubeni has bought a 49.9 per cent stake in GUNFLEET SANDS wind farm, located off the Essex coast and capable of generating 172MW.
Dong Energy to test next generation Siemens turbines in UK and Danish waters published reports suggest the most likely location for one of the tests is the 172 MW GUNFLEET SANDS wind farm off the Essex coast, where Dong Energy already has a license for turbine testing.
