The proposal for two wind turbines on Ministry of Justice land was granted planning permission by Swale Borough Council�s Planning Committee in June 2011. The construction period is expected to take 5-6 months, with commissioning of the turbines expected in January 2013.
The Community Fund for the Standford Hill wind energy development will amount to at least �11,500 per year (index linked) for the lifetime of the project, normally 25 years.
